Scott Burns is a gifted and experienced Technology Advisor to RB Markets-Achievemost. Scott is an expert in improving profitability, quality, and growth to satisfy internal and external customers.
Currently, Scott is Vice President of Operations for MTData North America, Scott is responsible for the growth and successful operations of the business. Together he and his team are tasked with developing strong client relationships through the delivery and support of dispatch, monitoring, and tracking solutions serving a wide field of transportation companies including taxis, trucking and logistics, emergency response, waste management, mining, oil and gas. MTData is an international firm headquartered in Melbourne, Australia with regional offices in the Middle East, Europe and the United States.
Scott has over 30 years of developing entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial business and people in both large and small companies. Scott’s core strength in supporting these ventures is the synergy created from his background and expertise in technology, operations, client service and business development. As someone that has served within companies as a senior executive, been retained as a management consultant and as an executive coach companies have leveraged his knowledge of leadership, coaching, mentoring and hands on management to lead individual and organizational change.
Scott has served corporate leadership roles as President, Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Client Services, Vice President of Business Development, and Vice President of Information Technology, and Vice President of Quality Assurance. More recently Mr. Burns was a two-time finalist for the Los Angeles Business Journal Top CIO award.
As an entrepreneurial executive Scott has been the catalyst behind the accelerated growth and eventual acquisition of multiple Colorado start-ups and has served several others to define their approach to the market and define critical success factors and processes for growth and scale. Scott has authored numerous business plans, corporate methodologies, sales, educational and keynote presentations. He has also published articles on marketing, sales, business development, and entrepreneurial best practices.
A practitioner of life-long learning, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Technical Institute, in Woodbridge, New Jersey and has continued to learn through avid reading, corporate training programs, industry events and roundtables, and educational collaborations such as the CIO Institute at UC Berkeley.
